If the annual financial statement results a surplus, it will first pay taxes and make up for deficiency. The first 10% of the retained-earning is appropriated as legal capital reserve, and special capital reserve will be appropriated in accordance to regulations. The rest will be combined with the unappropriated earnings of the same period for the board of directors to draw up a surplus earnings distribution proposal or retain part of the surplus. The proposals are then submitted to the shareholders meeting for a resolution. Our dividend policy is in line with the current and future development goals. After considerations of the investment environment, capital demand, domestic and international competitiveness, interests of shareholders, etc., the shareholder dividend distribution is determined to be no less than 15% of the year's distributable earnings. The distribution of shareholder dividends can be made by stock or cash, and the proportion of cash dividends must not be less than 10% of the total dividends.

The method and amount of 2017 earnings distribution are as follows: Cash dividend: NT$ 1 per share.

Shareholders must hold the shares of the Company before the ex-rights/ex-dividend date in order to participate in the ex-rights/ex-dividend.

The Company's 2018 ex-dividend date is July 31, 2018, and the record date is August 6, 2018.
